Amethyst is a calming stone, and is also the birthstone for February. Its striking colour comes from irradiated iron from Mother Earth. She is in the quartz family and comes in all shapes and different shades of purple (from a nice light lilac to a gorgeous dark Violet).
Amethyst is known as the ‘All Healer’. It is known to help stimulate creativity and is very protective. Amethyst is also known as the Stone of Sobriety and helps battle addiction.*
